Nirmitee Women’s Industrial Co-operative Society was formed by members of Self Help Groups promoted by LokPanchayat. Several small enterprises were started by the Self Help Groups and Nirmitee provided a platform to collect, standardize and market the various products. Nirmitee has a membership of more than 1000 women.

Baliraja Krushak Producer Company
Organic Agriculture Product Processing and Marketing activities for Straightening Agriculture based Livelihood Options.
Lokpanchayat has formed Farmers Group for exchange the seed and knowledge about traditional farming practice. The work started from ‘Krushak Panchayat (K.P.). K.P. is a village level a farmer’s forum meant for collective decision making and action towards low external input sustainable agriculture and is working in Sangamner block from last 7 to 8 years through Lokpanchayat. The focus of this work was primarily on, how farmers can prepare seed at their own? How production cost can be reduced? How to market agriculture produce? Sharing experiences, difficulties, learning.
In order to find answers on above the discussions were arranged at block level and village level, it was concluded that there should be separate structured system to work on this. At last farmers themselves decided to come forward and form their own Producer Company, where they will plan quality production and marketing strategies. Likewise Baliraja Krishak Producer Company Ltd. was established and got registered on 15 October, 2009.
The major activities carried till now are- organic grain production, pure seed production program, organic certification by PGS (participatory guarantee system), processing unit, establishing marketing linkages etc. In addition to this company have started two outlets in Sangamner city naming ‘Irjik Organic Spot’.

To promote a cost-effective and sustainable farming activity that enhances farmers livelihood and meets the customers needs.

Short term objectives:
- Strengthen Institutional Arrangement of Baliraja Krishak Producer Company to sustain business activity of organic production and marketing.
- Develop enterprise based business model for Baliraja Krishak Producer Company and link it to the main stream market.
- To carry on the production, procurement, processing, packaging and marketing of the agricultural products.
Long term objectives:
To strengthen the backward and forward linkages to bring about, prevalence of a market driven agricultural practice for the Primary Producers
